Franklin Bird Club Current Updates and Changes

Bird Friends,
We hope to see you at our first meeting of the year:  February 20 at
7:00 pm at the Macon County Public Library.
You won't want to miss Cathy Sill on "Birding by Sound."   She'll
explain techniques she uses to remember certain songs and she'll have
us listen to some unfamiliar songs and describe in various ways what
we are hearing.   .  Bring paper and pencil for some exercises.

The events list attached is beginning to fill up.  Details about times
and meeting places haven't been finalized on some events;  we'll keep
you posted.

The Land Trust for the Little Tennessee (LTLT) has a good lineup of
events.  Their website is http://www.ltlt.org/     if you need directions
or more info.
We'll be sponsoring a celebration of World Migratory Bird Day with
them on May 12 - details soon.

The Highlands Plateau Audubon Society (HPAS) is having weekly field
trips on Saturdays - and the first Saturday of the month is designed
for beginners.  We'll post their schedule on our blog - and you can
always check their website at http://highlandsaudubonsociety.org/
You should also consider joining the HPAS if you haven't.  They're the
National Audubon Society local chapter for our area.

Our Greenway walks will begin again soon.  We'll discuss days and
times at the meeting Monday night.

Come to the meeting to hear what else we have planned.

Here's the EVENTS LIST  pdf. file    - to be expanded soon.

Keep birding!
